LYONS Cross Country
ST. JOHN INVITATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY MEET Thursday, September 17, 2020 4:00 p.m.
Invited Schools: Andale, Central Christian, Central Plains, Cunningham, Ellinwood, Ellsworth, Fairfield, Haven, Hodgeman County, Hoisington MS, Ingalls, Kiowa County, La Crosse, Larned, Little River, Lyons, Macksville, Minneola, Nickerson. Otis-Bison, Pratt-Liberty MS. Pratt-Skyline, Pretty Prairie, Reno Valley MS, Spearville, Stafford, Sterling, South Barber, St. John
Schedule of Events:
3:30 Coaches Meeting (Finish Line/Chute Area)
4:00 7th Grade Girls and Boys (one race) 8th Grade Girls and Boys (one race) JV Girls and Boys (one race) Varsity Girls Varsity Boys ****No medal ceremony this year. Medals and results will be given to coaches at the end of the meet.
Location: The meet will be held at the Stafford County Country Club Golf Course. From the Highway 50/281 Junction: Go east 2 miles on Highway 50. Turn right on SE 20th Ave. (dirt road before the rest area). Go 1.5 miles and the course will be on your right. From Stafford: Go 6 miles west on Highway 50. Turn left on SE 20th Ave. (dirt road after the rest area). Go 1.5 miles and the course will be on your right.
Entry Fees: For all levels and divisions, $35 per team or $7 per individual runner.
Park Parents: There will be NO Park Parent Orientation tonight as it is scheduled on the calendar.
Limited Fan Attendance at the Lyons VS Larned FB Contest Friday, Sept. 4.
We have been notified by Larned Administration that fan attendance will be limited to 25 percent capacity this Friday at the Lyons vs Larned FB game. Wristbands will be available to fans and spectators on a first come, first serve basis. We will be provided wristbands this week by Larned that must be worn at the ticket entry gate before you will be allowed to pay admission. Entry into CKL venues is $5/Adults and $4/K-12 students. Those with CKL passes must still wear a wristband at the entry gate to be able to use the pass. You will not be allowed into the venue without a wristband. You may call Lyons HS to reserve your wristband.
Lyons MS/HS Fall Fan Expectations & Procedures
(Indoor Venues):
Masks and hand sanitizing will be required for entry and temperature checks will be taken at the door. Masks will be worn at all times while indoors and social distancing will be practiced. This must be followed or fan attendance will be limited throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic.
(Outdoor Venues):
Masks and hand sanitizing will be required for entry and temperature checks will be taken at the entry gates. Masks will be worn by fans in shared common spaces where social distancing cannot be maintained. Example: Concession areas, restrooms, and main entries. Masks may be removed if social distancing can be maintained. Social distancing shall be practiced throughout the facility. This must be followed or fan attendance will be limited throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic.
We are also asking everyone to use exact dollar amounts at the entry gates and concessions as to limit the amount of change passed back and forth.
The Lyons Lady Lions VB team will be competing in a CKL quad Saturday, Aug. 29 in Hoisington with the first match vs Larned at 9:00 am. CKL COVID-19 guidelines will be enforced. Masks will be required and social distancing is expected.

Gate: $5 Adult

Passes - League Passes will be permitted
National Anthem: Will be played with 15 minutes left on the warm-up clock.
COVID19 Precautions: Masks are required to enter the stadium and should remain on unless you are able to
maintain 6ft social distance in the stands. Masks will be required in all common areas
such as restrooms and concession stand. Coaches must wear a mask at all times on the
sidelines as well as any player on the bench that is not in the direct rotation during the
game. All workers will be wearing masks. Spectators will be required to have a wristband
provided by the school, which gives them the opportunity to buy a ticket for the game.
Wristbands will be distributed to both teams in advance to disperse as they choose.
LHS Tennis at Larned
Game Date: September 3rd, 2020
Teams: Larned, Colby, Ellinwood, Hoisington, Lyons
Event Site: Doerr Vernon Courts located at North Carroll & Highway 156.
Moffet Stadium Courts located at South Carroll and 4th Street. (if needed)
The tournament will begin with a coaches meeting at 2:30 p.m. at the Doerr-Vernon courts and play beginning at 3:00 p.m.

We would like to welcome you to the 2019 Smoky Valley Invitational Cross-Country meet. We will be hosting the meet at the Lindsborg Golf Course. Middle school races will start at 3:00 and we will just keep going until we get them all completed.
