Park and Central Elementary Schools will be closed tomorrow- Friday, September 11
Park Elementary School and Central Elementary School will be closed on Friday, September 11 to allow building staff to convert other spaces in the building into learning spaces to prepare for the hybrid learning model that will go into effect starting on Monday, September 14. Parents will receive more information about the hybrid learning model from the principals and teachers on Friday, September 11.

USD 405 - Lyons was notified that a student at Park Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19. Per our established protocol, we are thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting areas within that facility. We are also in contact with the Rice County Health Department and will take the steps necessary to protect the health of our staff and students. The district is closely monitoring this situation and will notify families if any additional actions need to be taken.

COVID INFORMATION: Please follow these directions!
· Towels will not be provided. Ice is available in our training room. Practice balls will not be provided. Please bring your own warm-up balls!
- Temp checks will be done at the door for all spectators upon arrival. Anyone above 100.3 will not be allowed in. If you do not feel well, stay home!
- Coaches will wear mask at all times, players will wear mask unless they are actively participating.
- Spectators will be required to wear masks inside if not able to social distance. Please sit with family units.
- We are only allowing 2 Spectators per athlete, please include them on the roster/pass gate information.
- Each school will receive 20 student passes to hand out to students. They will still need to pay, but will be allowed into the gym in addition to your 2 spectator limit.
- Schools need to provide their own water.
- No pre game or post game handshakes.
- Teams will not switch sides, chairs will be wiped down after each match.
· Each school is responsible for their valuables. Please advise players to bring only necessary items.
The AFJROTC awards ceremony scheduled for Thursday, September 10th, has been postponed. We will let you know when a new date has been confirmed.
Central School Fall Lifetouch Picture Day has been rescheduled to Monday, September 28th.

Cancelaciones de fútbol
Debido a circunstancias imprevistas, se cancelaron los juegos de fútbol de la escuela secundaria y la escuela secundaria programados para las próximas dos semanas. Football cancelations
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the high school and middle school football games scheduled for the next two weeks have been canceled. That includes high school games scheduled for September 11th vs Pratt and September 18th vs Nickerson. It also includes middle school games scheduled for September 10th vs Smoky Valley and September 17th vs Hesston.

There will be 60 tickets available for Lyons at the LHS office.
Due to shortage of drivers and wet weather, route and shuttle buses may run a little late on Thursday, Sept 10.

Masks are required for entry (per CKL Guidelines)
Seating will be marked off to ensure social distancing. Family groups may sit together but are asked to leave space around them. We are using every THIRD ROW.
WRISTBANDS will be required. LHS fans can get them by contacting the LHS office.
All spectators will use the LMS restrooms found at the northeast corner of the stadium. The Frog Dome restrooms will be unavailable this year.
The Concessions Stand will only offer pre-packaged items.

PSAT Sign-up has been made available to students. This test may be taken by 10th/11th graders. Cost is $17. Deadline to sign up and turn money into the office is September 15th. Test will be given October 14th. This test qualifies students for the National Merit Scholarship Competition.
