Infectious was the word spelled correctly to win the
Central Elementary Spelling Bee.
Competing in the event were 27 Central students.
Congratulations to the top speller, Macie Butts. Ryder Burrola placed second, Abril Vazquez came in third and Avana McGuire was awarded fourth place. The alternate for this year is Lexi Lieker.
These 5 students will continue to practice with their sponsor, Tiffany Zink, until the Rice County Spelling Bee is held at 9:00 AM on February 25. The event will be held in Chase.
The announcer this year was Kaylee Brooks. Brent Belden, Teresa Konda, and Mandy Steen served as judges.
