Job Olympics
Wow, what an incredible event we had this year! Our own Lyons PRIDE room, led by Trisha Stover came out with a 3rd place finish overall, with many individual medals. This year we had 18 schools participating with 109 students competing.
So much appreciation goes to Linda Keller and Gaye Callich for their hard work in planning and preparing this event year after year.
I would like to thank all of our volunteers that gave of their time last Friday to help judge the events and run the concessions. It means so much to the kids.
We also couldn't do this without our student pages. I was so impressed with this group of kiddos from LHS. They were very helpful, respectful and worked hard to make sure the Job Olympics went off without a hitch! And last, I would like to thank the AFJROTC group for helping set up and take down everything at the Celebration Center, we couldn't have done it without you.
Please, if you haven't had the opportunity yet, come watch this very special event, we welcome the spectators!
Thanks again to all of you,
Katie Herrman
Director of Special Education
