LHS Girls Sub-State Wrestilng TIME / DATE: 3:00pm – Friday, February 19, 2021 LOCATION: Ellis High School, 1706 S. Monroe St., Ellis, KS 67637 TEAMS: We have 90 wrestlers representing 36 schools this weekend. Here is a breakdown of the participating schools and which KSHSAA District they were representing. The Districts will be used to assign locker rooms (see “Locker Rooms” section). DISTRICT #1: Atwood-Rawlins County (1), Colby (2), Ellis (5), Hoisington (5), Hoxie (1), Norton Community (1), Oakley (3), Phillipsburg (1), Plainville (3), Smith Center (1), and WaKeeney-Trego Community (1) DISTRICT #2: Cimarron (2), Lakin (2), Langdon-Fairfield (1), Larned (2), Nickerson (3),and Pratt (7) DISTRICT #3: Augusta (2), Burden-Central (1), Douglass (5), El Dorado (1), Leon-Bluestem (1), Mulvane (5), Rose Hill (1), Towanda-Circle (2), Wellington (6), and Winfield (1), DISTRICT #4: Abilene (2), Brookville-Ell Saline (1), Buhler (1), Cottonwood Falls-Chase County (4), Council Grove (4), Lindsborg-Smoky Valley (3), Lyons (3), McPherson (6), and Whitewater-Remington (1) ADMISSIONS: We have been approved to allow schools 4 tickets per qualifying wrestler for this event in order for us to remain at an appropriate capacity level. This format is the same that will be used by the State Tournaments next weekend, except they will allow 7 tickets per qualifying wrester. Tickets vouchers for this Friday will be emailed to school athletic directors on Tuesday, February 16. You will need to print out the tickets with the appropriate serial numbers and distribute them as you deem appropriate. Ticket vouchers must be presented with the KSHSAA Sub-State admission fee of $8 to enter. Admissions table will open at 2:00pm. Only KSHSAA passes are accepted for this event. COMPETITION: We will be using Track Wrestling (trackwrestling.com) to run the live scoring for this event. We will use 2 mats for each round. We have 146 matches scheduled. All front side matches will be 2-2-2 and all consolation matches will be 1-2-2. All KSHSAA Wrestling rules will apply to this event. SCHEDULE: We will allow teams to enter our facility at 12:00pm. We will have scales available to check weight at that time and locker rooms will be available. Classes and lunches are in session at EHS until 12:30pm on Friday. Teams entering the building before that time will need to stay in the gym/locker room area. We will conduct weigh-ins and skin checks at 1:00pm. Wrestling will begin at 3:00pm. Round 1 – Quarterfinals Round 2 – Semifinals / 1st Rd. Consolation *Short break to clean mats. Round 3 – Consolation Semifinals Round 4 – Finals (5th, 3rd, and 1st place matches) STREAMING: Both mats will be live streamed via our school YouTube page which can be found at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfLHbOCt7rgBIzmqatAysiA. *Note that the link will not be active until shortly before the tournament begins. LHS Mens Wrestling Minneapolis High School is excited to be hosting a 3-2-1A Boys Sub-State Wrestling tournament this year. It will be conducted on Saturday, February 20th @ 12:00pm Sub-State Information is located on the KSHSAA Wrestling website. Location: Minneapolis High School, 602 Woodland Ave, Minneapolis, KS 67436 Participating Teams: Qualifiers from Regionals 1 and 2 CIVID Guidlines will be in place, masks must be worn at all times and social disastancing by family groups will be enforced. General Admission: The doors will open at 11:00p on Saturday to fans. 2 Parents, Guardians, or Spectators per participant will be allowed. Please provide those two names on the google doc form provided. If you are not on the teams WR-SSB or a parent/guardian listed you will not be allowed into the facility. - Admission $8 Schedule: Below is the schedule. Any modifications will be announced. Start times will be the only announced time. There will be at least a 5-10 minute break between each round to allow table workers to get a drink or access the restrooms and the printing of bout sheets.
