Yesterday the Lyons High Debate Team competed in the CKL Debate tournament. The team of Ian Foster and Blake Seidel-Pinson went 4-0 and claimed the individual title of CKL league Champions and the team of Merranda Dixon- Phillips and Tyler Deering went 2-2 and placed 5th. Overall the team finished the day with a 6-2 Win/Loss record 17 ballots and 99 speaker points to tie with Nickerson. After much processing and figuring the tie was broken and Lyons became CKL Debate Runners Up for the Second year in a row. The team takes 2 weeks off and is back in action October 20 and 24th.

They make school buildings some of the safest and cleanest facilities in town. Especially now, during this time of extra cleaning, sanitization and disinfection, they are needed and appreciated more than ever. Recognize a custodian for their vital service to our schools and community!
