As they have many times in the past, The Wichita Children's Theatre Professional Touring Company will present a program to our younger students. Students from around Rice County have been invited to the event.
Their version of "The Ugly Duckling" will be performed
on the LHS auditorium stage
on Monday, October 2.
The Ugly Duckling is a musical comedy adaptation
by Kevin M. Reese based on the popular children’s story.
The Wichita Children’s Theatre has provided quality family entertainment to many communities around Kansas and surrounding states. The Professional Touring Company is once again pleased to bring the art and education of live theatre to our community. The company travels with its own set, costumes, props, and sound equipment. All students need to do is provide an audience!
Those attending a performance should remember they are expected to behave appropriately for live theatre.
1. They should act differently when watching a live play
2. Turn your cell phone off.
3. Try not to speak to your neighbor
4. No random noises during the performance.
5. Actors will love to hear laughter and applause but try to avoid distracting the actors.
This play will be a unique experience and the audience will have opportunities to participate in the production. Throughout the musical, our young students will be encouraged to answer questions, and students can answer back.
Most of all, enjoy the show.
